The premium set consists of a marble board and a handmade cheese plane. Branded gift case included.
The cheese plane was invented by carpenter Thor Bjerklund from Lillehammer in 1925. The carpenter was annoyed that people were roughly chopping up pieces of cheese. Being an aesthete by nature, he aspired to beauty and order, correct shapes and neatness, and therefore, after carefully examining his carpentry tool, he came up with a special plane, which made it easy to plan cheese neatly and beautifully. The poor, whose homes were always in need, bought the inventor's new knives, which cut cheese into tiny pieces. But the owners of the cheese factories were outraged: They were afraid that cheese sales would fall, and even sponsored a protest rally under the slogan: "Throw away the cheese plane!" However, they soon realized that cheese sales were not decreasing, and began to produce such knives themselves.
