L'Epée Exclusive Arachnophobia Black Table Clock Exclusive Arachnophobia Black Table Clock Arachnophobia is a special kinetic sculpture for people expecting the unexpected. Something unique, something that everyone will remember when they see it on the table or on the wall. It is a work of art designed to shock, awaken and inspire people, rather than obey the rules. Invented by MB&F and designed and manufactured by the L'Epée 1839 manufactory, the Arachnophobia model is the result of the stormy imagination of MB&F founder Maximilian Busser, combined with his love of art. Arachnophobia was inspired by a giant sculpture of a spider named Maman, which Busser saw both in Geneva and in Doha. Maman (mother in French) was created by Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010) from bronze, stainless steel and marble. The monumental sculpture measuring 9.27 x 8.91 x 10.24 meters (over 30 x 33 feet) has been installed in a variety of locations around the world. Arachnophobia is available in two colors: yellow gold and black, which requires two different metals for the legs. The gold-colored model has legs made of gilded brass, and the legs of the black version are made of hand-crafted aluminum and coated with black lacquer. "All the finishing is done by the hands of master finishers who polish, satin, polish, and then, depending on the version, cover or varnish the legs," says Arnaud Nicolas, General Director of L'Epée 1839." Finishing techniques used on the "case" and legs of the watch include corner polishing, mirror polishing, satin finishing, circular satin finishing, sandblasting and polishing.  To really make a statement, L'Epée has also developed a system that allows you to hang arachnophobia on the wall. The innovative latch under the mechanism is attached to a stainless steel wall bracket. "Creating this watch was an adventure; it's the first time we've come this far in design," explains Arnaud Nicolas. "In fact, the watch was made in two steps. The first was the spider itself, and the second happened in the middle of the meeting, when I was introducing him and holding the spider in my hand against the wall. I was explaining how incredible this new watch was when the idea came to me to hang it on the wall." "It is always a pleasure to work with the energetic MB&F team," continues Arnaud Nicolas. "Once again, we went to a place where no one has been before, and that's what I like about the MB&F team. Nothing is impossible; they have great ideas and incredible talents." L'Epée 1839, together with Max Busser, developed a very unusual concept, using its know-how in watchmaking to create a mechanism in the form of a mechanical head and torso of a spider. The case is equipped with a black dome with white numbers representing hours and minutes. The self-sufficiency of the araneae watch is admirable, because the beautifully polished, well-visible mechanism boasts an eight-day power reserve. Important mechanical processes take place at both ends of the arachnophobia abdomen, which displays time: At the head is a regulator with an oscillating balance wheel (and a set of jaws in case he gets hungry at night), and at the other end is a mainspring drum, which drives the movement. Eight visually attractive legs are attached to the abdomen, articulated at the junction with the body. The legs can be rotated so that the Arachnophobe can stand on a table or spread out for wall mounting. Arachnophobia is available in two colors: black or yellow gold. While individual tastes may vary, the black version looks more realistic and may even scare some; the gold-plated model has a more sculptural artistic look. Although "Arachnophobia" is not as large as the sculpture that inspired it, 405 mm in diameter with fully extended legs or hanging on the wall, it is certainly large enough to make a real impression. The company L'Epée 1839, specializing in the production of luxury watches, understands the intricacies of watchmaking, offers a diverse collection of modern table clocks. Since watchmaking is not the simplest art, L'Epée had to overcome many obstacles on the way to creating the best, successfully combining simple design with technically complex execution.  The watch is available in a limited edition of 500 pieces of each color.

L'Epée Exclusive table Clock "Hot Balloon" Black & Silver Exclusive table Clock "Hot Balloon" Black & Silver Time flies: the first pendant clock surpasses itself, goes further, higher, faster; or, at a leisurely pace, soars in the clouds. L'Épée 1839 previously included several flying objects in its collection, but today it presents the first of them that gave humanity the gift of flight: a balloon!"  An official partner of l'École cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL) and, in particular, its Master's program in advanced research in luxury and craftsmanship design, L'Épée 1839 created this travel-themed watch in collaboration with a talented designer. student Margot Clavier. People have always wanted to fly: from Icarus to Leonardo da Vinci, not forgetting the wide-eyed child in each of us. At an early stage, science identified the Archimedes principle, which, although more often applied to liquids, can also be applied to gases. Based on this principle of hydromechanics, we can imagine a huge balloon capable of lifting people into the air. A bit of genius and, undoubtedly, a significant element of madness allowed the first balloon to take off at the end of the 18th century, ready to fulfill the ambition and dream of exploring the sky. Created by Margot Clavier, Hot Balloon embodies the dream of travel and adventure. As her first ECAL project, the collaboration with l'Épée 1839 set her a serious task: to develop a mechanical watch. After visiting the production in Delemont, Margot quickly seized on the idea of a balloon, which caused a worldwide sensation when it first took to the air in 1783. Inspired by the aesthetics of the very first balloons, Hot Balloon presents an elegant contrast of visible mechanical parts and metal parts in a variety of finishes and exquisite decorations.  Each component of a mechanical watch is designed to resemble parts of a balloon: the rotation of the basket starts the mechanism; the burners serve as a trigger; the flame indicates the hours and minutes; and, finally, the envelope (balloon) with its wide openings gives the product an impressive transparent, airy appearance. L'Épée 1839 presented its flight on a leash in a very special way, offering a completely new way of representing time. The Hot Balloon can be placed on a desk, table or shelf, as well as hung directly from the ceiling, floating in the air above it all — a first for a mechanical watch of this scale.  Therefore, the Hot Balloon comes with a hanging kit. A very thin cable, fully integrated into the watch's design, attaches to the balloon, allowing it to take off.  The time is displayed on the burner of the ball; a two-pointed needle, resembling a flame, indicates the hours and minutes on two black cylinders placed on top of each other.   The crown for setting the time is located under the vertical trigger mechanism, and its gear is located between the basket and the burner, in place of the blow valve. Just as the flow of gas inflating a balloon is regulated by a starting valve, the time of the watch is regulated by this crown.   The watch factory includes the entire basket. No matter how the Hot Balloon is displayed, to wind up the clock, simply rotate the base several times (usually six revolutions) to provide enough power for eight days of flight. For greater ease of use, especially when the Hot Balloon is placed on the table, L'Épée 1839 also allows you to wind up the watch by turning the upper ring of the basket so as not to lift the watch. The watch is available in a limited edition of 50 pieces of each color.

L'Epée Exclusive table clock "Time Flies" blue Exclusive table clock "Time Flies" blue TIME FLIES pays homage to the conquest of the sky and one of the most brilliant inventions ever made: the airplane. Aviation left its mark in the last century, motivating adventurers to climb higher and further, and changed travel forever. The plane captured the collective imagination, and there were many stories of heroic airplane flights. Who never had a childhood dream of adventure as a pilot. L'Epée 1839 sets out to conquer the air again, bringing to life one of the wildest dreams of mankind. For centuries, man has dreamed of being able to take to the air and fly like a bird. From the time of Leonard de Vinci to the present day, geniuses and aeronauts have developed aviation, pushing its boundaries again and again, repeatedly defying the laws of physics and daring to achieve the impossible.  Flying long distances in all weather conditions presented enormous difficulties for these early aviators. Postal aviation would never have existed without the courage of its first pilots, real heroes who inspired future generations. Each flight was a risky adventure that involved no instruments or aids other than the eyes and tenacity of the pilots. These outstanding pilots were a model of courage and determination, endlessly traveling, living an adventurous life between earth and sky, conquering oceans, African deserts and mountain ranges. The adventure at Aéropostale was exciting and impressive, and because it was filled with mechanical wonders and technological advances, it required courage and self-sacrifice from the pilots.  TIME FLIES is a return to its origins for L'Epée, which, having supplied watches for Concord, is the only watch manufacturer to equip a commercial supersonic aircraft. Aviation and watchmaking have been closely linked throughout their history. The first aviators used their watches as the only navigation tool to calculate their location and determine their course.  The hours and minutes are displayed on large-diameter stainless steel discs with black PVD coating on a satin circular coating and stamped numerals. A cursory glance is enough to determine the time due to the excellent clarity of the display, but the spectacular skeletonized mechanism is worthy of deeper reflection. The mechanism, created specifically for the TIME FLIES watch, allows you to display the trigger mechanism that regulates accuracy in the cockpit. Precision in the pilot's seat! The architecture of the 8-day mechanism, developed by L'Epée 1839, repeats the shape of a real airplane. As in an airplane, power comes from the front, where the engine is located, and is generated completely by an openwork crown resembling engine cooling radiators just behind the propeller. When fully loaded, TIME FLIES can fly for as long as eight days before refueling.  The aircraft's control systems and instruments are located in the cockpit; and the same is true for TIME FLIES, which has a horizontal precision control in the cockpit, just above the wings. The constantly oscillating balance wheel of the regulator attracts the eye and is protected from both cosmic radiation and prying fingers by a series of small panels forming a cabin cage. Another hint of children's toys and fantasies: the propeller rotates freely at the simple touch of a finger. Despite its air frame, TIME FLIES weighs a solid three kilograms, and its tricycle landing gear provides excellent stability. For a truly sensational demonstration, L'Epée 1839 has developed a mounting stand on which you can admire the flight of TIME FLIES. An innovative latch under the mechanism securely locks it in place. On its stand, TIME FLIES is placed as elegantly on your desk as it is on a pedestal in the library. The watch is available in a limited edition of 99 pieces of each color.

L'Epée Exclusive table clock "Tripod" red Exclusive table clock "Tripod" red The tripod consists of a minimalist dial suspended between three graceful insect-like legs. It follows the mighty T-Rex in what will become a trilogy of half-animal and half-robot creations. Robo-entities may well be time capsules of the future, the petrified "life" of the prehistoric era. With TriPod, Berlin-based designer Martens, L'Épée CEO Arnaud Nicolas and MB&F CEO Maximilian Busser lead us into the hour-long postmodern prehistoric era. Robo-entities may well be time capsules of the future, the petrified "life" of the prehistoric era. With TriPod, Berlin-based designer Maximilian Martens, L'Épée CEO Arnaud Nicolas and Maximilian Busser lead us into the hour-long postmodern prehistoric era. TriPod represents how time originates in Jurassic Park. "This insect is a transitional stage between the dinosaur and what's coming next, because they're all still here," says Martens. While the main source of inspiration for TriPod is a mosquito trapped in amber, which provides DNA for the genetic creation of new dinosaurs, for the look of the watch, Martens decided to imitate the water strider (Gerridae), an insect capable of walking on the surface of water using surface tension. and its long, thin, hydrophobic legs to distribute its weight over a large surface area. "It's like a levitating insect walking on water," explains Martens, "and it inspired me to create something very elegant. This is a direction I would like to move in, even if it has caused some disagreements with engineers on issues such as stability." The TriPod's three long legs seem too fragile to be true, but the balance is so precisely calculated that the whole creation looks as elegant as the insect it is modeled after. An integral element of the TriPod sculpture clock is the time display, which is performed by looking down at the dial, consisting of two concentric rotating discs. The external disk shows the hours, and the internal disk shows the minutes in increments of 15. Reading time requires interaction between a Person and a Machine: the observer reads time thanks to three optical spheres, each of which increases the digits of the clock and makes them legible. In order for all three "insect eyes" to show time at any angle, the dial has three sets of digits from 1 to 12, which means that the dial makes a complete revolution in 36 hours instead of the usual 12 hours. The time can be seen through one of the magnifying lenses at any moment, as well as the dial on top (although much smaller). L'Epée engineers calculated the best distance between the dial and the spheres, as well as the size of the spheres, which was large enough to see the time, but not so large as to change the design. In other words, the proportions, the right magnification, and the right distances were tantamount to the success of the TriPod. And to get this, the shape of the spheres had to be made very precisely — within 10 microns — since even the slightest shift could change the magnification, making it blurry. L'Epée Exclusive table clock "Grenade" blue Exclusive table clock "Grenade" blue Grenade is a mechanical masterpiece that combines the perfection of watchmaking with the call to pull the pin and live in the present! The pomegranate has been reinterpreted into a unique work of art, symbolizing the unpredictability of life. An innovative clock inspired by art and historical objects, the Grenade is a compact table and mantel clock that challenges how time affects our lives, as we are often consumed by the urgent need to fill our schedules with endless tasks overwhelming our days. The grenade is modeled after the historical MKII grenade with the M6A4C fuse, which uses a pin that is pulled to activate the explosives. Similarly, the L'Epée 1839 Grenade has a pin that simultaneously serves as a key, which, when pulled out, allows you to set the time and wind up the eight-day mechanism. The moment you pull the pin from the grenade, your mind is focused: the grenade is active, and you must focus on what is happening here and now in order to survive. The grenade from L'Epée 1839 gives a similar effect when you pull out its pin. You can change the time to whatever you want, and by winding the winding spring, you give it the opportunity to direct that time. The watch forces the mind to focus on the moment you are in and on the task of winding and setting the time, reminding you that you are guaranteed only this very moment, so don't waste it. The hours and minutes are displayed on two black aluminum discs rotating directly above the beating heart of the Grenade. Counting down the traditional 18,000 half-vibrations per hour, the balance is front and center, audibly reminding us that time is running out and we never know how much time we have left. After you start the Grenade and set up the time display, the next step is to capture the day. The master watchmakers of L'Epée 1839 have tried to create a device that not only accurately and stably shows the time, but also attracts attention in your home. Grenade is not just an attractive watch: It's an experience.  The company L'Epée 1839, specializing in the production of luxury watches, understands the intricacies of watchmaking, offers a diverse collection of modern table clocks. L'Epée Exclusive table clock "Gaz Derrick" Palladium-plated Exclusive table clock "Gaz Derrick" Palladium-plated L'Epée 1839 seizes control of Planet Earth by releasing its new Kinetic clock: Gaz Derrick. The hours and minutes rise up from the movement and include a new caliber recently developed by the manufacturer. Whether drilling on an offshore platform or on land, Gaz Derrick boasts two dials in the shape and style of gas pressure gauges; each displays hours and minutes. Inspired by various types of construction toys from his childhood, the young talented designer Martin BOLO and the CEO of L'Epée 1839, Arnaud Nicolas, succeeded in creating a homogeneous and realistic design, relying on high quality workmanship, courtesy of the century-old master of L'Epée 1839. expertise.  The main elements of the gas production platform become an example of industrial architecture, the design of which allows you to quickly and easily identify the structure behind this clock. There is a tower in the middle, then pipelines, fittings and pumps. Everything is protected by a harmonious protective glass of a thin square shape on a black base.  Design forces you to be closer to the elements; it is the truth of life, but still it is a thing of beauty, leaving you the aestheticism of its lines and everything else to your imagination... The excellent workmanship typical of L'Epée 1839 is certainly present.  Reading time as an indicator: the hours and minutes are displayed on two separate and independent dials — something like a regulator — located one above the other in the center of the tower. The similarity between the dials and real industrial sensors is such that they lead us to the command center of the gas tower. There are several elements around that evoke detailed realism that excite your curiosity: valves, pipelines, reservoirs, pumps, and even the central axis of drilling. The scenery is fully operational.  Like conventional structures, the clockwork is powered by the energy of the earth. The power supply is located in a black base that supports various decorative elements. A careful look will easily detect gears, a trigger mechanism and a unique drum that saves energy. The mechanism allows you to keep accurate timekeeping for up to 7 days. Consisting of 281 fine details and artfully assembled by hand, you can admire this handmade work through the inconspicuous holes in the base of the tower.  Every week, all you have to do is open the valve so that enough energy is supplied to the clock, just like an oil field operations manager refueling a drilling rig with gas. After completing from 5 to 7 full revolutions, the watch will work for the next 7 days. The watch is available in a limited edition of 50 pieces of each color.
