The company L'Epée 1839, specializing in the production of luxury watches, understands the intricacies of watchmaking, offers a diverse collection of modern table clocks called La Tour. Their sophisticated design, an eight-day clockwork with bridges enclosed in a transparent glass flask. The game with transparency and light are united by one key theme. Since watchmaking is not the simplest art, L'Epée had to overcome many obstacles on the way to creating the best, successfully combining simple design with technically complex execution.
La Tour watches were created under the influence of the architectural trends of the early 1920s, with their minimalist approach. The design of the collection is based on the ideas of the Bauhaus art movement, which offers a creative principle: "function dictates form." In fact, the formation of a single logical whole, a clockwork mechanism with bridges, is dictated by the sequence of gears. Currently, based on the well–known principle – "less is more", LaTour watches are an ideal illustration of the modernist wave of the 20th century, which influenced the creation of many simple and concise creations of modernity.
