Igor Volozhanin
Igor Volozhanin is a modern Russian artist. He works in the style of figurative painting. Through his stylization of forms, ancient art is reinterpreted. An in-depth study of the history of art inspires him to create "ancient Slavic" figures through the projection of his own method.
The artist strives to preserve plastic expressiveness and develop a new creative context by generalizing the figures in terms of drawing and color.
Reducing all colors and shades to a black-and-white, monochrome palette, discarding all colors and minor details while preserving the main idea and thereby giving it a fundamentally new figurative meaning.
Igor Volozhanin was born in 1967 in Russia, where he graduated from the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Art. Volozhanin is an honorary member of the International Academy of Contemporary Art and a member of the Union of Designers of Russia.
