The history of the French Jewelry House Korloff is directly connected with Russia. The House was named after the Korloff Noir black diamond, mined in Siberia and owned by the Karlov-Sapozhnikov family for many years. This unique 88-carat black diamond, which was included in the Guinness Book of World Records, was acquired by Daniel Payasser in 1978.
The diamond inspired its owner so much that Daniel founded a jewelry company in the same year, naming it after his favorite gemstone, Korloff.
The development of the Korloff Jewelry House can, without a doubt, be considered lightning-fast. The company not only creates luxurious jewelry and elegant accessories, but also makes its own discoveries. One of these innovations was the development of a new diamond cut, which creates 73 facets instead of the classically accepted 57. This allows you to add even more brightness and radiance to the diamond, visually increasing its volume. The cut was patented and named "Korloff Cut".
Although the brand began as a strictly jewelry brand, watches were added to its products over time. They combine style and quality: the Korloff line includes models with diamonds on the bezel and crown, and the case can be made of rose gold. This beauty is complemented by calibers built according to Swiss standards — Korloff even has mechanisms with retrograde indication.
