The drumstick that Bill Ward used on stage during Black Sabbath's concert performance at the Apollo Theater during the band's world tour in Manchester, England, on May 22, 1978.
Bill Ward is one of the founders and bass guitarist of the British rock band Black Sabbath. He is a key figure in the history of heavy rock and metal, having played an important role in shaping the sound and style of the band. Ward was also actively involved in the creative process, writing songs with other band members. His musical achievements and contribution to the development of rock music cannot be overestimated.
Interestingly, in 1969 the band performed at the Star-Club. The place is famous for the fact that it has become a "bridge of popularity" for the musical group The Beatles. Thus, the club connected two iconic rock bands. Drummer Bill Ward recalled the experience as follows: "Star Club was dark, gloomy. There were no facilities for the group. The group was basically the least significant people there. When we played there, most people showed no interest in the band. Nevertheless, it was a great training camp. We played eight concerts a night."
