The rock club brought together rock musicians, giving the opportunity to perform to a dozen amateur groups. As a result, this place gave an excellent start to the careers of such groups as: Nautilus Pompilius, Agatha Christie, Chaif, Nastya, Urfin Jus, Semantic Hallucinations.
One of the last instructions of the first secretary of the Sverdlovsk regional committee of the CPSU, Boris Yeltsin, before his departure for a promotion to Moscow, was an order to create a regional rock music club. It was established on March 15, 1986. Despite the censorship imposed by the government, the conditions for the development of rock music have improved significantly.: it became possible to organize regular concerts, festivals and use recording studios.
