Nikita Bogoslovsky is an outstanding Soviet composer and pianist, People's Artist of the USSR. During his long creative career, he has written music for more than 300 songs, 119 films and 80 theatrical productions. His melodies such as "Dark Night" and "Scows Full of Mullets" became classics of Soviet pop music and remain popular to this day.
Nikita Bogoslovsky was not only a musical but also a television innovator. He became the first presenter of the program "Evening of Funny Questions", which laid the foundation for the popular KVN program. In addition to music for cinema and theater, Bogoslovsky was fond of literature, leaving several collections of satirical short stories.
The document comes from Leonid Sladkov's personal collection. Leonid Sladkov worked for the USSR Philately magazine for many years and always, meeting with the heroes of his essays and interviews, asked them to sign on a postal envelope or postcard. This is how his collection appeared, which today has become an authentic document of the era.
The document itself is a note by Nikita Bogoslovsky about his "picaresque novel" - "Glinka's Testament". In it, he tells the plot of the novel and gives its first chapter. The novel was published in full in the Composer magazine in 1993.
