The book "To leave in order to stay", a documentary story about Konstantin Rev, V.A. Maryanovsky, Moscow, publishing house "Physical Culture and Sport", 1977

Viktor Marianovsky is a Soviet journalist, satirist and publicist, author of numerous articles and books about circus performers and athletes.

The book "Leave to Stay" is a documentary story about Konstantin Rev, a Soviet volleyball player and a player of the USSR national team, with whom Marianovsky was personally acquainted almost all his life. The book retells the main events in Reva's sports career, as well as his contribution to the Great Patriotic War.

Despite his small stature and not the strongest physique, Konstantin Reva hit equally hard with both hands, had a powerful lateral serve, could pull out a hopeless ball in a desperate throw. Reva's attacking capabilities are also evidenced by the following fact: in the final of the first ever Volleyball World Championship against the Czechoslovak team, Reva received the ball 81 times for the final kick in four games, and only in five cases the opponent managed to take these balls.
