About this product
Leonid Parfenov is a Soviet and Russian journalist, TV presenter, documentary filmmaker, writer, and public figure. He is the author of the television and book projects "The Other Day" and "The Russian Empire", the author of many documentaries, a five-time winner of the TEFI, the author of the YouTube channel "Parthenon".
The project "The Other Day" by Leonid Parfenov is a truly unique phenomenon. From small articles devoted to the most significant, interesting and vivid events of a particular year, the author manages to assemble a large-scale picture of Soviet, post-Soviet and modern history in all its diversity, sometimes cruel and ruthless, sometimes funny and touching. Brilliant discoveries, great victories and deafening defeats, politics and economics, literature and sports, science and fashion - here everything is woven together and forms a complex pattern. Brilliant illustrations, rare photographs, archival materials, but the main thing is, of course, the very "Parthenon" intonation.
