"Sherlock Holmes in New York" — a TV movie that is a free interpretation of the adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. When Roger Moore was initially offered the role of Sherlock Holmes, he wasn't interested. After reading the script, he decided to continue, finding it "funny and original." He was attracted by how different this role was from other projects in which he participated.
Interestingly, Roger Moore worked as a drawing model before working in the film industry and was a member of The Artists' Model Guild. He posed for artists, sculptors, and students of other art fields, which probably helped him develop self-confidence and freedom of movement, which was useful to him in his acting career.
