Autographed photo by film director Tim Burton

Tim Burton is an iconic American director who created a unique visual style combining Gothic aesthetics, black humor and touching naivety. Starting out as a Disney animator, he became the author of such iconic films as "Edward Scissorhands", "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Batman", which turned the idea of genre cinema upside down. His works are easily recognizable by his signature style — whimsical characters, melancholic atmosphere, and visual solutions that balance between the dark and the poetic.

The photo captures a moment from the filming of Batman (1989) — Burton stands on the legendary Batmobile, created according to his sketches. This film became a turning point for the superhero genre: abandoning the parody of the 1960s, the director presented Gotham as a Gothic nightmare, and Bruce Wayne as a complex psychological character. It was Burton who laid the foundations of modern dark superhero cinema, inspiring an entire generation of filmmakers.
