The text of the appeal:
«Play Tetris»
Alexey Pajitnov is a Soviet and Russian programmer, the inventor of the cult computer game Tetris (1984). A graduate of the Moscow Aviation Institute, he developed his famous puzzle while working at the Computing Center of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Tetris has become one of the most popular games in history, influencing the entire gaming industry.
Despite the worldwide popularity of Tetris, Alexey Pajitnov did not receive any financial benefits from the game for a long time. The rights to the game belonged to the state, and it was only in 1996, after moving to the United States, that he was able to officially regain his license and start making money on his invention. Today, Tetris remains one of the most recognizable and best-selling video games in history.
