The design of the table, made of exotic and very expensive wenge wood, is inspired by examples of beautiful Gothic architecture. Pointed arches and rosettes in the form of "fish bubbles", the triad of which makes up a rotating ornament, further emphasize the courtly flavor of the era. The table cover, decorated with mosaics in the marquetry technique, goes back to the images of the "Magnificent horologue of Duke Jeanne of Berry", created by the great artists the Limburg brothers. It is decorated with two crossed knight's swords. The chessboard is made of walnut veneer and sugar maple.
