Chess made of artificial oak "The Great Patriotic War" zinc figures with blackening

This exclusive set is a tribute to the memory of the Russian soldiers who laid down their lives in the bloodiest war of the XX century. The board in this set is made of solid black mountain oak and decorated with thematic carvings along the edge of the playing field. The field is made up of alternately arranged cells of black (American walnut or smoked oak) and light (maple) veneer varieties. The characters - the figures - are miniature soldiers, cast and blackened by Russian craftsmen. The figures are put away in drawers (Red Army troops in one, German troops in the other). A separate soft bed is provided for each figure. The Orders of the Red banner are carved on the opposite side ends of the board, the most common orders of the victorious army and the years of the beginning and end of the Great Patriotic War. The names of all thirteen Hero Cities are carved on the boxes.
