This is one of the most "presentable" sets of chess pieces in our assortment. Its characteristics fully meet the needs of fans of this ancient game:
The figures are hand-carved: the light ones are made of boxwood, and the dark ones are made of ebony. The height of the king is 3.25 inches (about 8.2 cm). A weighting device is installed at the base of each figure, so that the figure is weighty and lies pleasantly in the player's hand.
The board is made of precious wenge. The board size is 36*36 cm
The field is made up of alternately arranged squares of birch veneer (white cells) and wenge (dark cells). Each field is set manually. The size of the field cage is 38.5*38.5 mm.
The alphanumeric and numeric indexing of cells is applied along the edge of the field.
There are compartments inside the board for each piece. The lattice is made of birch, as a result of which the figures are not deformed.
Each set is delivered in a cardboard shipping box.
This set can be supplemented with checkers chips. The diameter of the chips is 29 mm. For this purpose, a special compartment is provided in the board.
