About this product
This is the most classic among the sets of chess pieces made of Bahia rosewood and boxwood on an oak board in our assortment. Its characteristics fully meet the needs of fans of this ancient game:
The figures are hand-carved: the light ones are made of boxwood, and the dark ones are made of Bahia rosewood. The height of the king is 4.25 inches (about 10.8 cm). A weighting device is installed at the base of each figure, so that the figure is weighty and lies pleasantly in the player's hand.
The board is made of solid mountain oak. Board size 47*47 cm
The field is made up of alternately arranged squares of maple veneer (white cells) and walnut (dark cells). Each field is set manually.
The alphanumeric and numeric indexing of cells is applied along the edge of the field.
Inside the board there is a soft bed with compartments for each piece.
Each set is delivered in a cardboard shipping box.
