This is one of the most attractive sets of stone chess pieces in our assortment. Its weight consists of the mass of two different types of stone, from which the figures and the playing field are made, and the weight of exotic mahogany, the array of which is used in the manufacture of the board itself and the salary of the playing field. The "black" figures of this set are made of red onyx, and the "white" ones are made of shell marble (coral marble). At the same time, chess is still very convenient to play: the characteristics of the set fully meet the needs of fans of this ancient game.
The figures are hand-carved from stone. This determines not only the rather large weight of each of them, but also their individuality. No figure looks exactly like another one — there will definitely be a difference. The height of the king in this set is 3.50 inches (about 9 cm).
The board is made of solid mahogany. The board size is 43x43 cm.
The field consists of alternating squares of coral marble and red onyx on a stone substrate. Each field is made manually.
The alphanumeric and numeric indexing of the cells is applied along the edge of the field.
Inside the board there are soft footings for each piece. The inside of the playing field is covered with red flock to protect the pieces and the board from mutual mechanical impact.
Each set is delivered in a cardboard shipping box.
