Birch chess "Invincible"

"Green, not a meadow, white, not snow, curly, not a head.".. How beautiful is the Russian rural landscape with white birches, how many enthusiastic poems our poets dedicated to this wonderful tree! After all, its very name comes from the proto-Indo-European root "to shine, to whiten". Perhaps no other tree is so associated with Russia as the birch. It is one of the national symbols of our country. Even for the ancient Slavs, it was a cult tree and an object of worship. A birch broom in the bath, birch branches for Trinity, curling birch by girls on the holiday "Semik" when they exchanged things and were sisters - without this it would be impossible to imagine Russian life. "Slender as a birch tree," they said, wanting to emphasize female beauty.
