A hoaxer and a cynic, a buffoon and a self-promoter, the creator of fabulously valuable paintings, drawings and books, a militant reactionary and a mystic, a genius and a villain - as soon as they don't call Salvador Dali! So much has already been said, written and filmed about him that there is only one field left where his talent would not declare itself in full voice - this is the chessboard, which today we place at the disposal of the Spanish genius.
Dali called one of his legendary paintings "A dream inspired by the flight of a bee around a pomegranate a second before waking up." Each figure of the proposed sets can also be called a "dream", a "pre-morning fantasy" that suddenly materialized on black and white cells. These are the irrational images, the clarity of which the great Spaniard sought, in his words, "with imperialist fury" - creepy, sometimes bloodthirsty, sometimes captivating in their aggressiveness hallucinations that have become the hallmark of the artist.
"Black" phantoms are at the mercy of straight lines, their dominant feature is the famous drawers that protrude from monstrous torsos. "White" is the realm of curvature, like the well-known spreading dials, stones and scrambled eggs. The skeptic player will call all this a delusional panopticon and with renewed energy will begin to chase the opponent's pieces across the field, the aesthete player will receive another incentive to win. It's not so often that you get a chance to play a game with the filing of Dali himself.
