The design of the chess pieces of the set fully reflects its name — it is based on elements of the oil refining industry and the corresponding attributes. These are oil pipelines, rigs, towers and other details of the oil platform.
The king is made in the form of an oilman, the queen's figure conveys the shape of an oil rig. There is also a special highlight — some light figures visually differ from dark ones of the same rank. The body of the chessboard is made of solid field oak. It is a durable material with an elegant wood pattern. Tinting gives the case a shade of milk chocolate.
The light figures and cages on the field are made of almost snow-white maple. They are complemented by dark cells and figures made of mahogany wood, which is characterized by a natural reddish-brown shade. To maintain a stable position on the board, metal weights are installed at the base of each figure, and for smooth movement, the bases of the figures are glued with felt.
The one-piece board of the set "Neftyaniki" opens according to the principle of a casket and is held in an upright position by special loops with a limiter. There is a playing field on the lid, and under it there are cells for storing figures, which are trimmed with soft velvet. The legs of the board body are glued with felt.
