Omar Khayyam's Rubaiyat is a collection of Oriental wisdom translated by I.I. Tkhorzhevsky and other famous Russian poets of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The edition includes translations by F.Eh, Korsh and other Russian poets and works by Persian poets of the X–XVI centuries: Ibn Sina, Abuseid, Hafiz, Rumi, Nizami, Saadi, Khakani. The poems are accompanied by hundreds of illustrations: Mohammad Tajweed's "Rubaiyat" by Omar Khayyam and Hafiz's poems published in Tehran in the middle of the twentieth century, the best illustrations of Western European publications of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Persian miniatures of the XV–XIX centuries, miniatures of Kashmiri manuscripts of the XVIII century. The publication is supplemented with a chronology of O. Khayyam's life and work, translations of Rubai, notes and indexes.
