Sabaneev's books about hunting are eternal classics that are always in demand (only our "Russian Hunt", also based on Sabaneev's works, has withstood many reprints with a total circulation of 24,000 copies). But Sabaneyev's "Hunting Calendar" was almost never republished, as it partially contained outdated information. For this book, Sabaneyev's text has been prepared in a modern edition.

When preparing the texts, special attention was paid to ensuring that outdated hunting materials, which are filled with many modern publications, did not get into the book. Such a book will be the best gift for men who love hunting. The Hunter's Handbook describes techniques and methods of hunting birds and animals in different seasons of the year, habits and characteristics of animals and birds. A large section of the book is devoted to hunting dogs: breeds, dog training, diseases, breeding.

A list of original dog nicknames is provided, as well as a unique collection of images of hunting and guard dogs. A special section of the book contains a detailed description of the tracks of all hunting animals and birds and more than two hundred images of tracks from rare German and Russian hunting publications of the late XIX — early XX centuries. There are about a thousand illustrations in the book.
