Leather-bound gift book "Duel of Honor. Famous Russian duels"

The duel in Russia in the XIX - early XX century was the most serious matter. The exchange of pistol shots untied knots that could not be untied in any other way; the protection of honor was the main and only reason for all duels of this time. That is why the duel has become the most important phenomenon of Russian culture. The duels of Pushkin, Lermontov, Griboyedov are forever etched in Russian historical memory. As long as "Eugene Onegin" and "Hero of Our Time", "War and Peace" and "Fathers and Children", Chekhov's "Duel" and Kuprinsky's "Duel" are on our bookshelves, the word "duel" will not be an empty sound for a Russian person.
