About this product
One of the first attempts to create a systematic history of Little Russia, Rigelman's work is largely compilation. The author abundantly quotes and retells the chronicles, chronicles and works of his predecessors, often without specifying the sources. At the same time, the book contains the full texts of many important historical documents.
It is also noteworthy the description of the life and customs of the Cossacks, compiled on the basis of the traditional legends recorded by the author. The illustrations from this edition are still considered textbook images of folk Little Russian costumes.
