About this product
The paintings were born during a period of social collapse, when we were all faced with the limitations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
We found ourselves in the tight confines of unfreedom… In a social prison, where there is no opportunity to move freely, communicate, breathe... And you can only escape inside yourself or into your dreams.
Whales in the clouds are a symbol of going beyond these limits. A symbol of overcoming difficulties that seemed impossible to overcome....
Whales in the clouds are a sign from above that the deeper you dive into yourself for the purpose of self-discovery, the easier it is to endure social storms on the surface, and the higher and brighter your dreams become.
In my paintings, a semantic parallel runs between the inner world of a person and the mysteries of the underwater world.
The flight of whales in the sky is a symbol of self-realization, fulfillment of the most cherished dreams, going beyond one's own capabilities.
Whales in the clouds represent FREEDOM in its highest form, because even the ocean has shores, but there are none in the sky.
