About this product
The icon of the Mother of God "Tenderness" Serafimo-Diveevskaya belonged to St. Seraphim of Sarov, was his cell icon. According to legend, Saint Seraphim found the icon in the Sarov forests. With oil from the lamp burning in front of this holy icon, the monk anointed the sick, who received healing after the anointing. The icon "Tenderness" of Serafimo-Diveevskaya is an uncharacteristic image of the Virgin. There is no image of the baby Jesus on the icon for a simple reason: he has not yet been born. The Ever-virgin is depicted at the moment when she learned the Good News about the upcoming birth of the Savior. The salary made of precious materials for the icon was personally presented by Emperor Nicholas II. He was the initiator of the canonization of St. Seraphim of Sarov.
