Crocodile is a Soviet and Russian satirical magazine. The symbol of the publication is a red crocodile with a pitchfork. Krokodil was founded in 1922, initially as an appendix to Rabochaya Gazeta, and was published once a week. Over time, it became the largest satirical publication in the USSR.
In October 1964, the Voskhod-1 three-seat spacecraft was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome for the first time, which marked a new era of space flight. Flights of astronauts of different specializations have now become possible, which has made it possible to solve a wide range of tasks. The first "space team" were: pilot Vladimir Komarov, scientist Konstantin Feoktistov and doctor Boris Egorov.
In the late 1920s, a special campaign aircraft, the Crocodile, was built with funds raised from subscribers of the magazine and its staff. Special correspondents flew it to the most remote corners of the country.
