Yu-Peter is a Russian rock band founded in 2001 by Vyacheslav Butusov, the leader of Nautilus Pompilius, and Yuri Kasparyan, the guitarist of the Kino group.
Kasparyan learned to play the guitar on his own, having no musical education. His unique style of play has developed through independent search. Kasparyan's guitar sound has become the hallmark of the Kino group. He often used the chorus effect and reverberation, creating melodic parts that became a hallmark of the band's songs.
After the breakup of the Kino group, Kasparyan worked with Vyacheslav Butusov, participating in the creation of albums by the Nautilus Pompilius group and the U-Peter project.
On February 14, 2002, the presentation of the soundtrack to the TV show of the First Channel "The Last Hero", a concert and the awarding of the winner took place at the Olympic sports complex. 16 leading musical groups performed on the stage, including the Yu–Peter group performed their compositions together with Yuri Kasparyan.
