B. Okudzhava"
Bulat Okudzhava is a Soviet and Russian poet, novelist, screenwriter, bard, and composer. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Okudzhava is the author of about two hundred original and pop songs, and is also one of the most prominent representatives of the genre of "author's song" in the 1960s — 1980s.
The genre of "author's song" in the USSR, with the advent of tape recorders, gained enormous popularity — along with V. S. Vysotsky (he called B. S. Okudzhava became his spiritual teacher), A. A. Galich and Yu. I. Vizbor Okudzhava became a key representative of the genre and formed his own direction within it.
Okudzhava's works have been translated into many languages and published in many countries around the world. His books were also published abroad in Russian.
Bulat Okudzhava named A. S. Pushkin, E. T. A. Hoffman and B. L. Pasternak among his favorite writers.
