Allan Alcorn is an American engineer and pioneer in the field of computer technology. He became internationally known as the creator of the Pong video game, which ushered in the era of arcade video games in the 1970s. Pong is considered one of the first video games to achieve mass popularity and lay the foundation for the future gaming industry.

In 1972, Allan Alcorn created Pong as a training project while working at Atari. The game quickly became a commercial hit and launched the incredible growth of the video game industry. Alcorn played an important role in Steve Jobs' career: in 1974, he hired him to work at Atari. According to legend, Jobs appeared at the interview in sandals and said he would not leave until he was accepted.

Allan Alcorn continued to work in the gaming industry, creating new technologies and games that influenced its further development. His contributions to the video game industry have been recognized with many awards, including induction into the Video Game Hall of Fame.
