FC Dynamo is one of the oldest and most decorated football clubs in Russia, founded in 1923. The club from Moscow has a rich history and is considered one of the pillars of Russian football. Dynamo is the only club that, together with CSKA, participated in all the USSR championships. During its history, the team has won many trophies, including 11 USSR Champion titles, 6 USSR Cups and the Cup of Russia. Dynamo also became the first Soviet club to participate in an international tournament, playing a series of friendly matches in Great Britain in 1945, which was an important step towards popularizing Soviet football abroad.
In 1972, FC Dynamo became the first Soviet club to reach the final of the European club tournament, the Cup Winners' Cup. In the final, the team faced the Scottish Rangers at the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona. Although Dynamo lost in a tense game with a score of 2:3, this historic moment strengthened the club's reputation in the international arena and became an important milestone in the history of Soviet football.
