Juliette Greco is a French actress and singer; one of the stars of post—war France, who embodied in her songs the disappointment and poverty of the French intelligentsia that followed after World War II. She is known for her songs "Paris Canaille", "La Javanaise", "Déshabillez-moi".
Juliette Greco also brought fame to a special style of performance and image — these are black glasses, a veil and deep dark dresses, which have become characteristic features of any of her concerts. Her life and work had a great influence on the French and world music scene during her lifetime: Greco recorded more than 1,200 songs in various languages such as French, Spanish, English, German and Italian.
