Bryan Cranston is an American actor, director, producer and screenwriter. Oscar and BAFTA nominee, winner of two Tony Awards, six Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and five Screen Actors Guild Awards. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Having received a role in the Breaking Bad project, Cranston began to create an image of the character. Deciding that Walter White (Cranston's character) should have a thin mustache and a slightly loose build, he decided to imitate some of his father's mannerisms. "I wanted Walt to have the physique of my dad, who is now 89, as if Walt was much older," Cranston said. "When I was studying my father, adopting his posture and gestures—I didn't tell him I was doing this—I noticed that I was also adopting his habits." As new seasons appeared on the series, White became more assertive and his body language changed. Squaring his shoulders, with a gloomy face, White was not so much a middle-aged father as a dangerous tough man who should be kept away from.
