John Fitzgerald Kennedy (1917-1963) was the 35th President of the United States, in office from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. He was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, into a wealthy and influential family. After studying at Harvard University, Kennedy served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he distinguished himself by rescuing his crew after their boat was sunk.
As president, Kennedy is remembered for his domestic policy initiatives, including promoting civil rights, fighting poverty reduction, and stimulating the economy.
Kennedy also initiated the Apollo program, which aimed to take a man to the moon, which was subsequently implemented after his death. His speeches and speeches, including the inaugural address with the famous call "don't ask what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country," had a significant impact on American culture and politics.
Tragically, his presidency was cut short by the assassination on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas, which became one of the most shocking and tragic moments in American history.
