The singer's popularity began after winning the international competition "Golden Orpheus" in 1975 in Bulgaria with the song "Harlekino". Alla Pugacheva was 26 years old at the time. She has experience working as a vocalist in various vocal and instrumental ensembles. Such a major victory determined the further path of the artist — she began to perform solo.
Pugacheva called the main song in her work "They do not renounce, loving." The lyrical, bitter, piercing, poignant song was written by Veronika Tushnova, one of the main poetesses of the Soviet era. The famous poem was born in the harsh 1944, when Veronika Tushnova worked as a resident at a Moscow hospital.
In addition to her musical work, Pugacheva is known for her charity work. She took part in a charity concert that took place a few kilometers from the reactor of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which was not yet closed with a sarcophagus, for which she was awarded the title of accident liquidator.
