Vladimir Matetsky is a Soviet and Russian composer, producer, radio presenter, vice—president of the Authors' Council of the Russian Authors' Society.

Surprisingly, such a successful composer has no formal musical education: he did not graduate from either a music school or a conservatory. Like many, he was in love with the Beatles, under whose influence he mastered the guitar. During his student years, Matetsky became the bass guitarist of the band "Successful Acquisition", in whose repertoire his songs soon began to appear. He performed with the band at "sessions" (underground concerts) and rock festivals, collaborated with Stas Namin. And after parting with the band, he finally became a composer.

The Stargift collection features a CD of the best songs of the famous pop singer Sofia Rotaru, signed by their author - composer Matetsky, who believes that his best songs are associated with Sofia Rotaru. He calls collaboration with her the greatest creative success in his life. "I am proud that we have a long creative and human friendship and that our songs have gone to the people," the composer admitted.
