He is best known as the first drummer of the band Guns N’ Roses, in which he performed from 1985 to 1990. Adler is currently the drummer in his own band Adler's Appetite.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The \"classic\" Guns N’ Roses lineup was finally formed on June 4, 1985, when Steven Adler and Slash officially joined the band. The very next day, after a short rehearsal, the band played their first concert. Two days later, the Guns N’ Roses members embarked on a short, unorganized tour of the West Coast. The musicians were traveling in a special van, but had to abandon the equipment when both of their cars broke down on the way to Seattle.
