The book "South Beach Stories" signed by designer Gianni Versace

Gianni Versace is one of the greatest designers of his time, who founded the international Versace fashion house, which became a symbol of glamour and luxury. In the fashion industry, his name is known to everyone, as well as his collections celebrating female beauty. A fan of loud parties, Versace was constantly surrounded by his star friends and fans.

The photo book "South Beach Stories" presented in the Stargift collection is a rare collector's edition. In 1993, Gianni and his sister Donatella released this album – its pages, filled with bright and daring pictures, document the charm of one of the favorite places of great fashion designers – Miami. It is in the capital of Florida that Gianni's infamous luxury mansion, Casa Casuarina, is located.

In the photos decorating the pages of the publication, you can meet Versace's favorite models – Linda Evangelista and Kate Moss in the lens of star photographer Doug S. Ordway.

The book comes from a personal collection. It was received in 1994 at the presentation of the publication in the Versace boutique in Italy. There was also a distribution of autographs on books, which were handed over to the store's customers. The autograph was left 3 years before Versace's death and was kept in the owner's family all this time. The safety is almost perfect.

Interestingly, in 2019, 26 years after its release, the book served as the inspiration for the exhibition "South Beach Stories" at the largest contemporary art fair Art Basel. The bright exposition was the result of a collaboration between the famous New York designer Sasha Bikoff and Versace.
