The second, Alexey Leonov, is twice a Hero of the Soviet Union, the first cosmonaut to go into outer space outside the ship. A number of paintings were created by A.Leonov and A.Sokolov together. The album became the debut of the creative tandem in the book chart. Paintings by A.Sokolova and A.Leonova were the apotheosis of futurological optimism and faith in the triumph of science. They talked about the imminent human exploration of the Solar system, colonization of new planets, overcoming space and time and reaching neighboring stars.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Yuri Gagarin, like many others, spoke very positively about the album: \"The extraordinary landscapes seen by cosmonauts and conveyed in drawings by A.
