German Titov is a Soviet cosmonaut, the first person to make a long—term space flight, the second Soviet cosmonaut, and the second person in the world to make an orbital space flight.
The book "Aviation and Space" was written after the flight of the Vostok-2 spacecraft into space. But traveling around the countries and other work did not allow me to finish writing it in any way. At the end of the 22nd Congress of the CPSU, German Titov wrote a couple more chapters, and the previous ones were expanded and finalized.
On August 6, 1961, the second space flight in history, lasting 1 day, 1 hour and 11 minutes, was completed on the Vostok-2 spacecraft. It was the world's first space flight lasting more than a day. Titov managed to take photos of the Earth, including the famous shot with a porthole, eat and sleep in space. And also to test the manual control of the rocket.
