The International Ballet Competition in Moscow has become a solid and fruitful tradition, an integral and important part of the life of world ballet. Born in 1969, he quickly gained high professional authority, a serious creative reputation, and the status of a responsible and brilliant forum for young performers. The irresistible magic of the Bolshoi Theater of the USSR (and now Russia) has always attracted young dancers from around the world, and a successful performance on its famous stage opened the way for them to the future.
Each Moscow competition gives the world a new galaxy of bright performers. It becomes an invaluable creative experience for young artists and most of the winners of the competition will have a brilliant career in the art of ballet.
Galina Ulanova is a Russian Soviet ballerina and teacher. Prima ballerina of the Leningrad Kirov Opera and Ballet Theater (1928-1944) and the Bolshoi Theater of the USSR (1944-1960). The most decorated ballerina in the entire history of Soviet ballet.
On a tour of the Mariinsky Theatre in London, where 46-year-old Ulanova played the role of Juliet Capulet, an amazing event happened for that time. The British began to applaud the ballerina before the queen herself stood up. It was an incredible triumph.
Aram Khachaturian is an Armenian Soviet composer, conductor, teacher, musical and public figure. He is the author of three ballets, three symphonies, six concerts, works of vocal, choral, instrumental and program music, music for films and theatrical productions, as well as music of the National Anthem of the Armenian SSR (1944).
Some researchers characterize him as one of the pillars of the Armenian and Soviet school of composition.
