Police Day was established in Russia in 2011 and is celebrated on November 10. This holiday has become a logical continuation of traditions rooted in the distant past. The history of the Russian police goes back more than three hundred years. In 1718, by decree of Peter the Great, the first regular police was created, which was designed to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain public order. Since then, the police have come a long way, adapting to changes in society and the new challenges of the time.
