About this product
Art. : 099-3274

Since those distant years, vigorously traveling and living in different parts of the world, spinning the globe in the hope of finding, like Nabokov, my daisies and Rachmaninov, my lilacs, I have been looking for jewelers who could bring my dreams and childhood discoveries to life in precious metal. And so in the fall of 2019, at an etiquette brunch in my favorite St. Petersburg Astoria, which I arranged for clients, an elegant lady, the mother of two brothers, regulars of my course, presented me with a silver spoon of "Russian gems" with lilac flowers. My eyes flashed!

And in my life, my full namesake Tatyana Polyakova, the artist of "Russian Gems", who painted my herbarium from memory, also appeared. I also checked the slope of the stems, and the shades, and the proportions according to those Tver happy childhood memories. And, as it turned out, the best, free, beautiful, fragrant and precious memories of a lifetime.

In the summer of 2020, my mother left, who accustomed me to potted non-wilting flowers that were transplanted into gardens and lawns. Shortly before her death, symbolically, my first jewelry herbarium of 25 plants saw the light.

"I've never read fortune-telling on wild daisies. But I believed in the belief that a daisy grew where a star fell. Daisies are starry flowers for me. A distinctive sign. I remember my first wreath. This was the crown of childhood. Even now, I determine the onset of summer by the proud, unraveled inflorescences, waiting for the opportunity to stop in the field and touch a delicate petal.

I pin a daisy brooch on the silk lapel of my tuxedo. As a sign of the significance of the moment. Not a live gardenia, but my St. Petersburg chamomile. And the topic of conversation appears immediately. I decorate my white men's shirts with chamomile. Men can't afford it, can they? Or is this a hint?"

"Already as a child, I noticed that I was worried about poppy-covered fields. The outright shock of color from the lights of a multitude of abundantly and generously scattered colors was mesmerizing. And there was no brighter color. The wind stirred the petals. The silk flowers spreading from the boxes into the flame excited me. The poppy from the rye fields is one of those flowers that was not given in my children's herbarium. The living inflorescence stopped breathing, the silk of the petals froze in my hand, did not look impressive on the pages of the book and lost its power over my imagination. But the emotions remained. While traveling, I noticed the mythopoeic image of the poppy in many cultures with many symbols and dedications. Poppies in embroidery, in painting, in wreaths, in buttonholes...
