Оно начинается с роскошных благоухающих белых или розовых шелковых соцветий. А ягоды любимого красно-оранжевого оттенка украшают август. И декорируют, соревнуясь с березами и кленами, осень. Я верила в то, что именно шипы оберегают красоту этого уверенного в себе, но беззащитного растения. Я слукавила. В моем детском гербарии на было ягод шиповника. Были только цветы и бутоны. Плоды я собирала в плетеную из ивовой лозы корзинку вдоль диких пляжей Финского залива, возвращаясь в Эстонию с каникул из Венециановских мест. Когда я останусь жить на хуторе, я, первым делом, высажу неприхотливый, преданный и целебный шиповник. Ведь ветка шиповника была и в терновом венке Иисуса. Я люблю просыпаться рано. Раньше меня, я знаю, просыпаются и раскрываются цветки шиповника. Bсегда между 04:00 и 04:30 утра. В серебре 925 пробы и в эмали они даже не закрываются. Мы с ювелирами продлили время. И волшебным образом соединили в броши лето и осень. C тех далеких лет, энергично путешествуя и живя в разных уголках мира, раскручивая глобус в надежде найти, подобно Набокову — свои ромашки и Рахманинову — свою сирень, я искала ювелиров, которые могли бы в драгоценном металле воплотить мои мечты и открытия детства в жизнь. И вот осенью 2019 года на этикет-бранче в любимой петербургской «Астории», который я устраивала для клиентов, элегантная дама, мать двух братьев, завсегдатаев моего курса, подарила мне серебряную ложку «Русских самоцветов» с цветками сирени. Мои глаза вспыхнули! А в моей жизни появилась еще и моя полная тезка Татьяна Полякова, художник «Русских самоцветов», которая нарисовала мой гербарий по памяти. Наклон стеблей, и оттенки, и пропорции я тоже выверяла по тем тверским счастливым воспоминаниям детства. И, как выяснилось, лучшим, свободным, красивым, душистым и драгоценным воспоминаниям всей жизни. Летом 2020-го ушла моя мама, приучившая меня к горшечным невянущим цветам, которые пересаживались в сады и на газоны.
