The author's bronze sculpture "Toyotomi Hideyoshi"

Fearless warriors who skillfully wielded the sword, strong in spirit, who were not afraid of death, lived by the motto: "Battle brings joy only when you move forward and forward, advance and win!"

The prototype of the image was a real historical character – Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1536-1598), an associate of the legendary Oda Nobunaga, the commander who completed the unification of Japan.

He was born into an ordinary peasant family, but radically changed his fate – he became a samurai. Thanks to his strength of character, cunning and talents, Toyotomi managed to take the position of commander-in-chief at first, and by the end of his life the whole of Japan was under his rule.
