The mammoth tusk composition "The World dressed in flowers" is an outstanding work of artistic Cantonese carving, in which the skill of the carvers is combined with the poetic philosophy of oriental art. The sculpture was created from an ancient mammoth tusk, a rare natural material with a soft creamy hue and a noble texture that allows you to transfer the smallest elements of decorative plastic. Due to the natural bone structure, the composition acquires the feeling of living matter, as if nature itself participates in the creation of the work.
The base of the composition is formed by an elegant arched branch of a flowering tree, gently bending over a rich floral ensemble. On one side, the branches rise up, forming a complex openwork silhouette, on the other, they gently descend, like the branches of a garden bent by the weight of fruits and flowers. Thin chains are stretched between the branches, creating a feeling of lightness and harmonious balance of the entire composition.
A real garden of flowers and fruits unfolds in the lower part. Here you can see large blooming peonies, graceful chrysanthemums, bunches of grapes, decorative fruits and many small buds. In Eastern symbolism, such elements carry a deep meaning: the peony symbolizes wealth and nobility, the chrysanthemum — longevity and wisdom, and grapes — abundance and prosperity.
Fine carvings create an incredible depth of composition. Every petal, every berry, every bend of the branch is made with jewel-like precision. Due to this, the sculpture resembles a lace garden, as if created from light and air. When you change the angle of view, the composition opens up in a new way, allowing you to consider all new details.
The upper part of the composition resembles a flowering tree, symbolizing vital energy and continuous renewal of the world. The branches, covered with many small flowers, create a feeling of eternal spring, a state when nature is in full bloom.
"The world dressed in flowers" is not just a decorative piece, but a symbolic picture of a harmonious world where nature, beauty and human skill combine into a single poetic form. Sculpture is perceived as a frozen garden of abundance — an image of well-being, prosperity and eternal beauty.
