Sculpture "Endless Dragon"

The dragon is a mythological creature of ancient China, a legendary cultural symbol of the Chinese people, an important and integral part of Chinese folklore, culture, mythology, history and royal insignia. Chinese dragons symbolize compassion, benevolence, strength, power, prosperity and providence. Dragons first appeared in Chinese culture in the fifth millennium BC, and since then they have been found everywhere - from royal dresses to royal insignia, from pottery to zodiac symbols, from symbols of good luck to the gods of ancient and modern China. They are considered gods of weather and reservoirs: clouds, rain, oceans, rivers, waterfalls and lakes.

Dragons in Chinese mythology are considered extremely significant creatures, personifying luck, strength and power. The Chinese dragon selects the most significant parts of each powerful animal and combines them into one body to embody all the benefits in society. For example, in popular culture it is believed that the dragon borrowed its head from a camel, and we know that camels in the Gobi Desert and on the ancient Silk Road were considered the hardiest animals used for trade and transportation. Other parts such as: the horns of the stage are a symbol of strength and beauty; the eyes of the demon are keen observation, and nothing can escape his anger; the ears of the cow listen to everything with compassion and due sensitivity; the neck of the snake is attentiveness with strength and pride; the mysterious belly of the clam offers food and sometimes pearls; the scales of the carp make it It is buoyant and protects from harm; the claws of the eagle and the paws of the tiger are known for their strength and symbolize unsurpassed power and grip. The overall composition of the Chinese dragon gives us a sense of perfection, strength, might, power, prosperity and compassion.
