Gorbatov's "Troika" casket, Palekh

""Troika" box by Gorbatov, Palekh is an expressive work in the tradition of Russian lacquer miniature. A fast-paced fairy tale story unfolds on the glossy black surface: a bright troika rushes along decorative waves, horses seem to fly forward, and the delicate painting conveys movement, conviviality and lively energy of the ancient Russian image.

The curly shape of the case makes the box especially plastic and elegant. The gold ornament on the edge of the lid and the sides emphasizes the depth of the black lacquer, and rich shades of red, turquoise, orange and gold create the effect of a precious miniature. The interior is made in bright red lacquer, creating a solemn contrast with the exterior design.

This casket is suitable for storing jewelry, memorabilia or personal relics, and will also become an independent accent in the office, library or living room. The product is made in Russia, in the Palekh art tradition; materials and techniques: papier-mache, tempera, lacquer, hand-painted.
