Warm patterned pattern, intertwining of honey tones with dark brown veins, silk smoothness – this is the Karelian birch, the most beautiful wood among all Russian breeds. It has been used in folk crafts since the XIII century, gifts from Karelian birch were presented to kings and princes. The Faberge Museum houses a souvenir egg from the "tsar's tree", made by the great jeweler for Nicholas II Romanov, the last emperor of Russia.
Solid and durable wood is not subject to rot, drying out, for which it is in demand from elite craftsmen. Caskets, figurines, jewelry and other author's products are considered luxury items.
